The Call Ahead / Text Ahead notification informs the customer about the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA). It is triggered when the driver clicks on the Text Ahead notification from the driver's mobile application.
The main functionality is to notify the customer that the driver has started the delivery and is on the way to their location. The ETA is calculated based on the distance between the driver’s location and the customer’s location.
Unlike the Start Route notification, which notifies all customers on the route at once, the Text Ahead notification sends an individual ETA update to each customer.
The Text Ahead message can be modified, and notification groups can be added from:
Admin Tab > Customer Notifications > Text Ahead.
